Training Program - Testimonials

Several months in to the training class for the "PDCA Painting Apprenticeship Class", I have seen the attitude and range of knowledge grow.

As a trainer and mentor to those interested in our training class, it is important that I see and reach a level of accomplishment on a class by class basis. As for now, I see that most of the information at the intermediate level has been useful and constructive as it relates to their job in the field. I also ad that these folks being taught have a wide variety of skill level and still find it useful based on the stories told during class discussions.

Test scores and open book interaction have shown that the retention rate of what is taught is at what I would deem acceptable.

I look forward to seeing these teachings in the future and believe that we will get even more "bang for the buck" as we push forward into levels 2 and 3.

Thanks for time and concern!

Ken Staude
Operations Manager
Crout & Heller Painting Services Inc

The PDCA Training Program has offered a solid foundation of theory, principles and interactive learning of successful painting techniques and application.  Students are given the opportunity to gain new skills, through reinforced dynamic classroom instruction by Ken Staude of Crout & Heller Painting Services, Inc.  Mistakes in the field are costly, so students come to class with a serious work ethic to learn the material presented to them weekly.  There’s a sense of camaraderie in the classroom, which has increased our productivity, and knowledge of the trade. Whether we’re learning about OSHA safety, proper  preparation and finishing of a substrate, or in a lab spraying with an airless or hvlp, it’s all about learning to achieve the best possible result when on the job!

The class has, by far exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend participation in this educational program to any painter or company owner in the Painting business!

I have nothing but praise for the PDCA program I am enrolled in.  All facets of the program that I have been exposed to have been presented in an extremely informative, concise and professional manner.  Not only am I benefiting from the great body of technical information and instruction but also the personal interaction with the other students.  This interaction has expanded my knowledge and understanding of the painting industry.  In my estimation, this program is an invaluable tool to foster a more competent and professional demeanor assigned to the painting profession and consider myself fortunate to be a participant.

The class has been a learning tool for me that you just can't get on the field.  Because of all the different kinds of painters present in this class, I have been able to learn different methods in painting that I never would have been able to learn in repaint situations.  Info from direct vendors, and painting professionals have given me the tools that I frequently use and share on the job site.  My goal of being a painting contractor is only being helped along by this program and I am greatly appreciative...Especially the interaction with Kenny...His knowledge in all aspects of painting and business is amazing!

Jeremy Romero

While first being introduced to the class I was a bit skeptical of the ability to be successful.  I wasn't too sure what I would get out of it.  Since coming to this class I have been impressed with the progress the entire class is making.  I personally came into this class extremely green in the business and am amazed of the things I have been learning.  One thing that I think helps students feel comfortable with this class is the fact that there is no pressure if you don't know about a particular subject we are discussing.  That is the main reason we are here is to learn together.  Everyone in the class is very open to share their experiences.  Ken is able to explain things in such a way that everyone can understand.  There is definitely value in this class for everyone thinking about taking it.

After being in the trade for the past 35 years, there is still a lot I have learned about my trade and things that have refreshed my memory.  The class is good for the trade and changes the way the trade is looked at.  Ken is doing a great job teaching the class.  The downfall is not enough people are in the class that could benefit by attending this class and their employees.
