PROGRAM FLYER

Designed exclusively for SCF Arizona policyholders, the SCF Association Safety Program enables trade and business associations to offer members the opportunity to lower the cost of their workers' compensation insurance.

By participating in the group plan, policyholders may earn a bonus dividend in addition to their individual dividends, based on the safety success of the association to which they belong. (The earned bonus dividend is calculated on the total premiums and losses of all participating association members.)

Since 1970 when the program was created, members have earned more than $1 billion in individual and bonus dividends. While dividends cannot be guaranteed, SCF has paid them every year since it was separated in 1969 from the Industrial Commission of Arizona (ICA).

At SCF Arizona, we want to reward our participating policyholders for their good safety records. Join now and you too can receive the rewards.

How does it work?

  • Association members that are qualified policyholders in good standing are eligible to participate.

  • Each participating member maintains an individual policy and remains responsible to SCF for payroll and premium reporting. The member may have an individual experience rating and will be entitled to a premium discount on an individual basis, if eligible.

  • It is required that association approval be obtained for participation in the program.

What are the rewards?

  • The program allows members the opportunity to share in an additional bonus dividend through the association.

  • Each participating member will receive no less than its earned individual dividend and, in addition, will share in the group bonus dividend, if earned.

  • Dividend Benefits:

Bonus Dividend -Averages 40 percent to 50 percent more than your individual dividend.
(All earned dividends are paid approximately 10 to 12 months after the association base year ends.)

Shock Loss Protection - $75,000 loss limit applied to each claim for dividend purposes.

  • An active and unified approach to accident prevention can mean a larger potential dividend for members. By working closely with SCF and the association, members can pave the way toward safer operations and higher dividend returns.

How can you participate?
If your association has a safety program and you are a qualified SCF policyholder but not yet a participating member, we welcome your enrollment. If you are not an SCF policyholder, we welcome the opportunity to serve you.

ASSOCIATION SAFETY PROGRAM*
Questions & Answers

  1. Q. When is the Association Safety Program dividend paid?
    A. Approximately 10 to 12 months after the Association Safety Program's base year ends.

  2. Q. Will my individual policy be affected if I join the Association Safety Program?
    A. No. Your policy with SCF Arizona remains exactly the same, but your dividend year will be changed to coincide with the Association Safety Program's base year.

  3. Q. If the association has high losses, will I lose my earned individual dividend?
    A. No. If you earned a dividend based on your own premium and losses, you will receive that amount.

  4. Q. Does enrolling in the Association Safety Program cost me anything?
    A. No, but you must be a member of the association.

  5. Q. When can I enroll in the Association Safety Program?
    A. Anytime during the association's policy period. Enrollment is effective the date of association approval.

  6. Q. Who decides whether or not my policy is accepted into an Association Safety Program?
    A. The particular association to which you belong makes that decision.
